Simi Khagram

Simi Khagram is an Associate in Bird & Bird's Technology Transactions team in London. Her practice focuses on Technology Law, providing legal support to clients across the technology sector, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence and GreenTech.

Her practice covers the full spectrum of technology transactions, including licences, complex SaaS agreements and large-scale outsourcing arrangements.

She regularly advises start-ups and scale-ups, helping them navigate the legal challenges of rapid growth with practical, cost-effective advice. Her work often involves coordinating multi-jurisdictional regulatory advice for technology companies expanding internationally, as well as conducting corporate due diligence on tech businesses.

She also supports Bird & Bird's Legal Technology and Innovation team, which buys and builds tech solutions for the firm. This work gives her first-hand insight into what businesses look for in sourcing tech solutions and how legal documents can better reflect those needs. She now uses a wide range of LegalTech and GenAI tools in her day-to-day work as a lawyer, helping her deliver better advice more efficiently.

She understands clients' desire for practical and commercial solutions after spending a year working in finance and six months at a FTSE 100 bookmaker. Whether negotiating the sale of goods and services or structuring innovative technology partnerships, she helps clients move forward while managing legal risk.
