Nick Gorensweigh

Nick Gorensweigh is a newly qualified Associate in Bird & Bird’s Intellectual Property Group in London, focusing on Patent Law. His work focuses on contentious patent matters, and he is particularly interested in the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector.

His background is in science, having studied Biomedical Science at university. At Bird & Bird, his day-to-day work includes advising pharmaceutical and biotech companies on patent-related matters, which often span multiple jurisdictions.

His patent litigation experience includes UK infringement and revocation proceedings, and opposition and appeal cases before the EPO. He also has experience in large-scale patent and FRAND disputes in the Technology & Communications sector, as well as experience in Life Sciences & Healthcare regulation.

Nick studied Biomedical Science at Imperial College London (BSc), and Law (LLM) and the Legal Practice Course at BPP University Law School. He was admitted by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in 2024.
