Magnus Wallsten

Magnus Wallsten is an Associate in the Sports Group in London. His primary practice area is Sports Law, and he advises national and international sports governing bodies, federations and organisations in contentious and regulatory matters across a wide variety of sports.

His practice involves representing clients in relation to a range of issues such as disciplinary and commercial disputes, challenges to regulatory decisions, investigations, rule drafting and advisory work. He has acted for clients in disputes before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the IOC Disciplinary Commission and several other disciplinary tribunals, and has also served as an ad hoc clerk to the Court of Arbitration for Sport on multiple cases.

His experience also extends to advising clients on EU and UK competition law matters, including in the sports sector relating to issues such as athlete eligibility rules, third-party event organisations and dispute resolution.

He is a solicitor in England & Wales and an attorney in the State of New York, and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Duke University.
