Alfie Armstrong

Alfie Armstrong is an Associate in Bird & Bird’s Sports Group, based in the London office, focusing on Sports Law. He has experience advising clients in the sport and media sectors on various commercial and contractual matters.

He has acted for governing bodies, event organisers, teams and clubs, broadcasters, commercial sponsors, sports agencies and individual athletes across a range of sports, including football, rugby, motorsports, cricket, tennis, athletics, horse racing, volleyball and esports.

As part of his training, he was seconded to a Premier League football club, where he assisted with various commercial matters. Since qualifying, he has been seconded to the world’s leading live events company and to a market leader in global sports media. These experiences have provided him with an enhanced commercial understanding of the issues clients face day to day in such specialised industries.

He qualified as a solicitor in August 2023, having trained with Bird & Bird.
