Laura Morrison

Laura Morrison is a Managing Practice Development Lawyer in Dentons' Employment and Pensions practice, supporting fee earners through knowledge initiatives, internal and external training, and the development of innovative service delivery methods. She keeps the team up to date on case law developments and legislative changes, manages the team's CPD programme and trainee training, and oversees the development of the precedent library including automation of key precedents.

Prior to taking up this role in 2018, Laura spent more than 13 years advising on all aspects of employment law, from day-to-day HR issues to strategic advice on organisational change and business transfers. She regularly appeared in the Employment Tribunal across the UK and represented clients in claims involving automatically unfair dismissal on grounds of protected disclosures, disability discrimination and sex discrimination. For more than seven years, she also advised on business immigration, including the points-based regime and sponsor licence duties.

Laura holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Glasgow (2001) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law (2002).

She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Immigration Law Practitioners' Association. She is a founding member of Dentons' Edinburgh Corporate Social Responsibility committee and has been a trustee of Volunteer Edinburgh for 11 years.
