Kate Deniston

Kate Deniston is a Knowledge Development Lawyer in Bird & Bird’s Tech Transactions team in London, focusing on Technology Law. She plays a key role in keeping clients and colleagues at the forefront of tech-related legal and market developments.

She monitors key tech-related developments in legal regulation, case law and market trends, particularly in the UK and EU but also internationally, working closely with the firm’s Regulatory and Public Affairs team. She helps clients keep up to date on these developments and their practical implications through publications, seminars and tailored training.

She organises internal training for the Tech Transactions team, manages the team’s internal knowledge-sharing system, and supports colleagues with developing and using legal tech on projects.

Before becoming a knowledge lawyer, she was an associate in Bird & Bird’s Commercial practice, where she drafted and negotiated commercial contracts for clients in the technology industry, including software licensing agreements, IT outsourcing agreements and SaaS agreements.

Her special areas of interest include artificial intelligence and legal tech.
