Jayne L Meakin

Jayne L Meakin is a Senior Associate in Dentons' Milton Keynes office, specializing in non-contentious construction law across the built environment and infrastructure sectors.

She frequently acts for developer, funder, purchaser and tenant clients on a wide range of construction and procurement projects, with a primary focus on JCT-led procurement as well as engineering contracts and associated documentation such as warranties, bonds and guarantees. She advises on high-profile and complex projects including luxury residential developments in Mayfair and Kensington, major housing developments, retail and commercial schemes, student accommodation, and regeneration projects. She also advises on construction aspects of corporate and finance transactions, including development funding, forward funding agreements, agreements for lease and portfolio acquisitions, with due diligence experience on projects valued up to £50 million and prime commercial buildings in London with purchase prices exceeding £100 million. She has particular expertise in the Building Safety Act and has advised clients including Morrison Supermarkets, Card Factory, John Lewis PLC, Sainsbury's, Network Rail, Barclays Bank and United Overseas Bank.

Jayne holds an LL.B from the University of Nottingham (1996) and completed the Legal Practice Course at Leeds Metropolitan University (2001).
