Jack Donelan

Jack Donelan is a Partner in Dentons' Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate practice, based in the London office. He advises private equity houses and other financial sponsor clients on all aspects of their investments, including initial acquisitions, portfolio assistance, and ultimate exits across a variety of sectors including technology, life sciences, industrials, and real estate.

Mr. Donelan has structured and negotiated a broad range of complex business transactions within the UK and throughout Europe. His notable deal experience includes advising on a US$1 billion partnership with an international music rights business, a £4.77 billion recommended cash offer for a European entertainments business, a €1 billion acquisition of a global software company, and the US$4.8 billion acquisition of a global financial technology provider. He regularly acts for Partners Group, Blackstone, HGGC, MRI Software, and Strategic Value Partners, among others.

Jack joined Dentons in April 2026 from Kirkland & Ellis, where he was a partner in the European Private Equity team. He began his career at Simmons & Simmons in London and Dubai and was previously seconded to Blackstone, counseling the Private Equity and Tactical Opportunities teams on European investments.

He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Warwick (2011), a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law (2012), a Legal Practice Course from BPP University (2014), and an MBA from BPP University (2018).
