Thomas Winstanley

Thomas Winstanley is a Senior Associate in the Technology, Media and Telecoms Practice at Dentons in London, specialising in technology law, commercial contracts, and intellectual property licensing. He advises clients on a wide range of commercial agreements, including complex framework supply agreements, IP license agreements, and international franchise agreements across the TMT sector.

Tom has advised telecoms providers on statutory compliance, assisted with the drafting and negotiation of FinTech service agreements, analyzed IT license arrangements, and helped clients establish data sharing and processing agreements. He frequently works on end‑to‑end corporate transactions, assisting with due diligence processes, advising on commercial, IP and IT aspects of core transaction documents, and drafting and negotiating transitional service agreements. He has gained significant commercial experience through client secondments to financial services companies, publishing and events specialists, and luxury fashion brands.

Tom holds a BA (Honours) in Theology from the University of Durham (2013) and completed the GDL and LPC (with Distinction) at BPP Manchester (2015). He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2017.
