Nicole McAnulty

Nicole McAnulty is an Associate in the Regulatory & Investigations team at Dentons' Edinburgh office, focusing on financial services regulation and compliance.

She advises domestic and international banks, financial institutions, investment firms, e-money and payment service providers, fintechs, credit institutions and government bodies on the UK regulatory framework. Her work includes advising on anti-money laundering requirements, the Consumer Duty, regulatory perimeter issues and permissions, conduct of business obligations, financial promotions, cross-border activities, and change in control applications. She also advises on contentious matters, including identifying and managing regulatory risk and dealing with regulators. Prior to joining Dentons, she worked at a leading national law firm in New Zealand, specialising in financial services regulation, including anti-money laundering, consumer credit, payments, financial product and service offerings, mandatory climate-related disclosures and prudential regulation.

Nicole holds an LL.B (Hons) and a BCom in Economics and Marketing from the University of Auckland (2022), and completed the Professional Legal Studies Course at the College of Law (2023).
