Matthew Gilhooly

Matthew Gilhooly is a Senior Associate in Dentons' Technology and Commercial practice, specialising in Technology Law. He focuses on complex technology and business process outsourcing matters, with particular experience advising clients in the financial services, fintech, payments and retail sectors on compliance with financial services outsourcing guidelines and digital operational resilience requirements.

Matthew also advises on broader commercial matters, including the drafting and negotiation of services agreements, data protection and telecoms advice, with a particular interest in innovative and emerging technology. He has completed client secondments with financial institutions and authors the UK section of Dentons' "Drone laws around the world" and "Global Guide to Autonomous Vehicles." He is recognised by The Legal 500 as a key lawyer in the firm's highly ranked FinTech practice.

Matthew holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Dundee and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Aberdeen.
