Josh Price

Josh Price is a Senior Associate in the IP group in London, specialising in contentious patent matters. His primary practice area is Patent Law, and he is particularly interested in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector.

His background is in science — he studied Chemistry at university and also spent a number of years working in academic research and the pharmaceutical industry. At Bird & Bird, his day-to-day work includes advising pharmaceutical and biotech companies on patent-related matters, which often have a multi-jurisdictional flavour. His patent litigation experience includes infringement and revocation proceedings and interim injunction applications.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, he worked as a patent attorney in private practice in Germany and the UK. He therefore has complementary experience extending to drafting and prosecuting European, German and UK patent applications for clients in the life sciences, medical devices and pharmaceuticals sectors, and working on opposition and appeal cases before the EPO.
